My little girl arrived...

My dear little girl arrived on 9 Nov 09. And I will be very busy with her until I get more settled down, so will not be posting that many new blogs anytime soon. Hope I can continue my hobby after I am more settled down and things gets into a routine.

hi hi, oh my, sorry i didn't remember coming to your blog, but i found it familiar. :p so glad you remembered :)

no i've not settled the piano issue yet, haha. i'm looking at another one actually.
it's a yamaha X model or U10A. x model is a professional concert series if i'm not wrong.. U10A has a very nice tone but it's only 121cm :(
guess hailun would come in some other time. hope you're enjoying yourself!

Hi Jaclyn,

Yeah, I remember you for some reasons =)

121cm is good enough actually. But not anything shorter, else will not be nice anymore. Yeah, I am enjoying my Hailun. But is a personal preference =)

haha i hope it was a good reason :p

that's great, glad u're enjoying your hailun piano :)

hmm yeah i thought 121 was ok, but my piano teacher said the minimum should be 125cm. :(

here's a youtube link i found:

The youtube sounds nice...very crystal clear tone...

Main thing is you like the piano lah.

Wow...ur teacher demand very high leh...must be at least 125cm? Luckily she didn't say must be grand piano :P

hahahah yeah luckily she didn't ask me to buy a grand. got no idea where to place it too! :D
yeah it's like that when i tried it too. very nice, bright and crystal clear sound. like it :)

this is the X brand one. i suspect it's so loud because it's opened. but honestly, i like it loud :p

Then what are you waiting for? How old is the X model which you are looking at? And how much they quote you? Any warranty included? Hehe, I am KPO lah! =)

haha i'm going down tomorrow to do a test. it's 4300 if i'm not mistaken. heh. short term memory. the u10a one is slightly more costly, about 5k plus.

how do u find the sound of the x model?

Pooh Bear said...

I prefer the sound for U10A...based on the youtube.

But you are the one who is going to play the piano, so choose one that you prefer.

But 5k+...I find it a bit ex leh. How old is the piano?

Anonymous said...

quite new. few years only. yeah prefer u10a too. hhahaha. super half hearted now.

Pooh Bear said...

If only a few years (assuming less than 10 years), then be not bad a choice lor...but still find it ex, coz no Yamaha's warranty...

Anyway, check the serial number to confirm the age of the piano. Also, check out what the warranty covers...

Spending that extra 1k to make you happy is worth it lah, after a while, you will forget that you spent that extra 1k one. Better than getting a cheaper one which you don't like, then in the end regret =)

yeah chked the serial number already.
guess will go down and do a final test on the piano before testing. :p
